Advertiser and lending disclosure

We want you to know exactly how our service is paid for and what that means for the offers you see before you send a request.

How we are paid
We may receive compensation from lenders in our network when we match a request with them or when a loan made through our service funds. Borrowers pay nothing to use our request form or to compare offers.
Compensation can take different forms. A lender may pay us a fee for each request we pass along, a fee when a loan funds, or both. The amount can differ from one lender to another. These payments are how we keep the service free for people who use it.
How compensation can affect the offers you see
Compensation from lenders can affect which lenders receive your request and the order in which offers appear. A lender that pays us more may be shown more often or placed higher than one that pays less.
Compensation does not change the APR, fees, amount or term a lender offers you; the lender sets those based on its own review. For that reason, the first offer you see is not necessarily the cheapest one. Compare every offer's APR, fees and total repaid before you choose, and remember you can decline all of them at no cost.
Our guides and estimates are written to be useful whether or not you ever send a request, and payment from lenders does not decide what our articles say. Estimated payments on our pages come from one consistent payment table, such as the representative example of $2,000 over 24 months at 24.99% APR, which works out to an estimated $106.73 a month.
We are not a lender
We do not make loans, do not make credit decisions and do not set rates or terms. Lenders in our network decide whether to make an offer, and each lender sets its own APR, fees, repayment schedule and funding timeline.
Submitting a request is not an application for credit with us, and it does not mean any lender will make you an offer. Not every applicant is approved. If you accept an offer, your agreement is with the lender, which handles funding, payments and servicing. Some lenders fund as soon as the next business day; it depends on the lender and your bank. People who search for a quick dash for cash should plan for that variation rather than count on a specific date.
Not all lenders, products or states are included
Our network does not include every lender or every loan product available, and lenders in our network do not operate in every state. Availability, amounts and terms vary by lender and by the state where you live.
Requests through our form cover amounts from $500 to $5,000. Typical APRs across lenders run from about 6% to 35.99%, though the rate you are offered may sit anywhere in that range or outside it, depending on the lender, your credit profile and state rules. You may find other options outside our network, including banks and credit unions, and it can be worth comparing them as well.
