What this privacy policy covers
Our privacy policy covers information collected through our website, our calculator and our personal loan request form. Lenders that receive your request have their own privacy notices, which govern how they use your information.
We wrote this policy to describe our practices in general, readable terms. It is not legal advice, and depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the law of your state. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Information we collect
We collect the details you enter in the request form, basic information your device sends when you visit, and anything you choose to tell us when you contact us. We collect only what is needed to run the service.
Information you give us
- Contact details such as your name, home address, email address and phone number.
- Request details such as the amount you want, the purpose of the loan and your date of birth.
- Financial details such as income, pay frequency, employment, housing cost and checking account information.
- Identity details such as your Social Security number, which lenders use to confirm identity and review credit.
- Messages you send us by email, phone or mail.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information such as browser type, operating system and screen size.
- Your IP address and the general location it suggests.
- Pages you view, links you click, the site that referred you and the time and date of your visit.
Numbers you type into the calculator are used to show an estimate on screen. Using the calculator alone does not submit a request to lenders.
How we use your information
We use your information to match your request with lenders in our network, to operate and improve the site, to respond to your messages, to prevent fraud and to meet legal obligations.
- Passing your request to lenders that may be able to make you an offer.
- Contacting you about your request, including confirmations and follow-up messages.
- Understanding how visitors use the site so we can fix problems and make pages clearer.
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Complying with laws, regulations and lawful requests from authorities.
How we share information with lenders in our network
When you submit a request, we share the details you provided with lenders in our network that may serve your state and amount, so they can decide whether to make an offer. Lenders may pay us for these requests.
A lender that receives your request may check your identity, review your credit, confirm income and contact you by email, phone or text about your request. Once a lender has your information, its own privacy notice and loan agreement control how it uses and keeps that information, so read the lender's notice before you accept an offer.
We may also share information with service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, email and analytics providers, under agreements that limit their use of it to the services they provide. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of users or others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
For more about how lenders pay us and how that can affect which offers appear, see our advertiser disclosure.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember basic preferences, measure traffic and understand which pages help visitors. Some of these tools are provided by third parties.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Essential cookies help pages load and forms submit correctly. Analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, how people find and use the site. Advertising or attribution tools may record which ad or link brought you to us, for example after you searched a phrase like dash of cash loan, so we can understand which channels work. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as intended without them.
Your choices about your information
You can choose not to submit a request, ask us to stop matching a request you already sent, opt out of marketing emails and texts, and manage cookies through your browser. Contact us to make any of these requests.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text message from us.
- Stopping further matching: email us and ask that your request no longer be sent to additional lenders.
- Lender contact: contact each lender directly to ask it to stop contacting you, since lenders control their own communications.
- Access or deletion: depending on your state, you may be able to ask what information we hold about you or request its deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on an access or deletion request, so we will ask for enough information to match the request to our records.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, including encryption in transit for form submissions and limits on who can access request data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Protect yourself by using a private device and network when you submit a request, and never share your online banking password with anyone, including someone who claims to represent us.
Children's privacy
Our site and request form are meant for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we delete such information if we learn it was submitted.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Changes to this policy and how to contact us
We may update this policy as our service or the law changes, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Questions about privacy can go to [email protected] or (888) 257-3593.
You can also write to us at 179 Sycamore Street, Suite 527, Augusta, ME 04330. For questions about how a lender uses your information after you accept an offer, contact that lender directly.
